PSC Group has an exciting new growth opportunity for a Business Development Director responsible for driving the company’s growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities in the Canadian market. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the Canadian business landscape and a proven track record of success in business development, sales, and relationship management. The ideal candidate will have experience working in or with Canadian businesses and will leverage their network and expertise to establish PSC Group as a key player in the Canadian market.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Market Research & Strategy Development: Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential clients, partners, and industry trends in Canada. Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy tailored to the Canadian market.
  • New Business Acquisition: Identify, target, and engage prospective clients in Canada. Develop and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities, leading negotiations, and closing deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers. Ensure a deep understanding of client needs to deliver customized solutions that drive value.
  • Brand Building: Increase brand awareness and market presence in Canada by representing PSC Group at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities. Act as the face of the company in the Canadian market.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with the U.S. team to ensure alignment of business development strategies and objectives. Provide regular reports on market conditions, sales progress, and business development activities to senior management.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all business development activities comply with Canadian laws and regulations. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with entering the new market. Execute business plans to meet sales and other business development goals

Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the Canadian market.
  • Sales or operations experience in the Canadian petrochemical industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully securing new business and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian business landscape, including market dynamics, regulatory environment, and key industry sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada and to the U.S. as needed.
